A Great Big Pile of Tour

Thus far, I've been to two shows of the Motion City Soundtrack tour and have missed A Great Big Pile of Leaves BOTH times. I mean, this is seriously depressing. Please enjoy A Great Big Pile of Leaves and their entirety.

I have to admit, since knowing these guys, they have really grown as a band. They cease to amaze me. And they still recognize their friends. I've never gone to a show to be waved at, or talked to for a second, then left standing to be dissed for another band, or someone else more "important" that may have more influence than I. I AM SAM. I'm not only a fan, but a friend and that means so much to me. I am proud of these guys and my heart explodes for them and their upcoming success. Tyler, Pete, Tucker, and Joe... ROCK ON guys! I absolutely love you guys :)

It really doesn't matter what I miss though, only because I'll eventually see these things or have these things. Eh, such is life. 

A Day of Wrongs!

first off, here's my cute owl of the day. 

following cute owl! I feel like I couldn't do anything right today! You ever just have one of those days where you just can't get anything right, or nothing goes right?? ARGH! I couldn't keep my hands on anything today and I got beat up, and anything that walked through our door was DYING! Hence battle photos of the day.

Ok with that all being said... everything that walked in our door dying, at the end of the day was alive and well. We rescued a dog who was hit by a car (fractured jaw, broken leg, broken tail), rescued a kitten who was sat on and ended up with a bloody eye and bruised ear, rescued a puppy who had eaten dental floss resulting in it losing quite a bit of its intestines, and rescued a dog who's eyes had been burnt in a house fire. The amazing people that I work with all make this happen! Although my job beats me up and sometimes beats me down, I still love it! I learn something new every day :)

A Month of Owls

Ok so my roommate Jessica had a contest recently about owls! Whoever could post the cutest pic of an owl won a cute pair of owl earrings! Well, I can't get enough and all I see are cute owls everywhere now! Enjoy! More to come :)

A Comeback!

I guess I'm going to try harder to go back to blogging. First it was blogging about what I ate in a day, and then it was blogging about whatever, and then there was just no blogging. Well, here's a catch up run down.


-I love True Blood. Eric and Sookie need to get it on.
-Vampire Diaries is my new TV jam.
-I am addicted to hot chocolate.
-I am a vet assistant and I love it.
-I miss ct just a smidge.
-I'm so glad Jenny has moved to NY with me. She is my piece of home.
-Melly is the perfect city dog.
-The Walking Dead is one of my top favorite TV shows. You should watch it on AMC if you're into zombie movies.
-NY is rocking!

Different Ways to Sleep in a Box.

Use the box as a side pillow. 

Start simply on your back or on your side... 

You can use your imagination and try "s" like positions:

Or "c" like positions:

Or even "L" like positions:

If you totally trust your humans, relax your back legs to the MAX!

If the box is a little small, try sticking your tail and paws out of it

Or maybe just sticking a back paw and your ears out

Or even just the front paw; whatever works. 

Invite your friend to join you!

And enjoy it :)

Perhaps.... they won't even notice you!

Or you can totally disguise yourself to avoid unwanted attention.

You can hide in an unexpected box. 

Theses positions are for experienced yoga cats. 

Even small boxes will do.
